About Us
At Moulin Fine Art, we believe great art should be within reach. We specialise in vibrant, characterful mid twentieth -century British and French works—curated with care, insight, and an eye for lasting quality. From oils and sculpture to works on paper, our collection captures the spirit of a transformative era and offers it to both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers alike.
Art shouldn’t feel distant or exclusive—and with us, it isn’t.

Our Story
Moulin Fine Art began life in 1989 as Millwheel Gallery, founded by Richard Stenner in the heart of Exmoor, Somerset. Rooted in rural tradition but always looking outward, the gallery was reimagined in 2024 as Moulin Fine Art — a name that nods to our past (“moulin” being the French word for mill) while reflecting our growing love for both British and French art.
Now based in London, Moulin Fine Art is run by William Stenner, a student of Art History and French at Birkbeck, University of London. William brings a thoughtful, instinctive approach to collecting, curating a growing selection of mid-century British and French works — sourced from London’s art markets, regional fairs, and tucked-away sales across the UK and France.
From lively market finds to quiet discoveries at provincial sales, every piece is chosen for its story, character, and timeless quality. Moulin Fine Art is about more than just collecting — it’s about connecting: linking the past to the present, and helping a new generation of collectors discover art that resonates — rich in history, character, and lasting appeal.
