Camilla Clark is a contemporary marine painter based in Somerset, working from a studio in the Quantock Hills. She studied Art and Architecture at Canterbury University, and her work is strongly influenced by the coastal and maritime landscapes of the South West, particularly Cornwall and Devon.
Working primarily in oils and mixed media, often incorporating beeswax, Clark creates richly textured paintings that explore light, movement and atmosphere. Balancing abstraction with elements of observation, her work evokes the emotional experience of the sea rather than literal depiction. She is an exhibiting member of the Royal Society of British Marine Artists, and her work is held in private collections across the UK.
